Bernier Sylvain, AKA BS to run for office
[Vibznation News Wire] - Many of young haitians musicians who have political ambitions used to hide their thoughts in a shoebox in the closet. But many of today’s younger candidates came of age since the election of Michel Marthelly. As a result, their large number has been surprising to many observers and becoming a political podium. I think there is a fear of what is going to pop up, but I think it is sort of akin to a fear that anyone has in an elected office, said one observer. Among those who are planning to run for office in the next elections are well known musicians and radio personalities such as Bernier Sylvain. If there is a fear for some politicians in the up-coming elections is the same sort of fear that older politicians would have had every morning listening to the radio and hearing new names of young bur popular HMI figures. It may be just a matter of time until young politicians in Haiti is widely understood and accepted outside of old generations who consider being in power forever. Bernier Sylvain, also known as BS has made the announcement on his Facebook page where it reads: "I am willing to put my candidacy in the next election race for deputy to the 1st district (Port-au-Prince) I cherish this feeling to finally see the area where I grew up differently. Solino, Fort national, Bel Air Avenue Poupelard, Nazon, Christ the King and the surrounding area, I am ready to represent you and defend your dignity. Let your hands take mine and prepare the first District of tomorrow. Like Gracia Delva, Yvon Jerome, Pouchon Duverger, Jacques Sauveur Jean, and many others evolving in the HMI, BS is confident tha he will be elected if he has the support of the youth.
