As Reggae music continues to thrive throughout the world, Jahnesta, another authentic and breath-taking artist arises from the midst of the Caribbean and is hailed as the pioneer of Haitian reggae. Unique in his genre, Alain Moraille,( lead vocalist) manages to captivate his audience with liberating messages of truth. His band offers a distinctive reggae beat with a touch of Haitian roots transporting profound and exalting lyrics reflecting Jahnesta’s concern for the well-being of humanity.
Born a rebel, Alain never ceases to stand up for the oppressed and the voiceless. Genuine love, a call for unity, and social consciousness are the core elements of his inspiration. Alain has had a passionate interest in music at a very young age; especially after having discovered Bob Marley’s gift to the world. With the help of Daddy Beaubrun ( Boukman Eksperyans Bassist ) Jahnesta was able to discover his own aptitudes in the music scene, thus forming a team which later became one of the very first Haitian Reggae band. In 2004, Jahnesta delivered his locally well received debut album, “Solda Jah”. The band’s performing skills along with Jahnesta’s charismatic on-stage presence has touched the hearts of the massive. Jahnesta’s second album, produced by Dean Pond (Studio340) in 2006 is indisputably intense, profound. Jahnesta's third album, Rebel has been released and he is working on his fourth album.
